A list of all the characters and organisations your students will meet during this adventure. Note, this is for accessibility and teaching only reasons, the adventure is more enjoyable with some surprises, and main characters and organisations are given to all at the beginning.
You (the students)
You! Yes you! You are the Detective referenced throughout the adventure. The voice used may not sound exactly how you sound, but your actions and words are based on options you pick.
Lord Pixelington
Lord Pixelington is the head of the B.Y.T.E. Detective Agency. His role is similar to your Headteachers role at school. He always wants you to do your best, but will give you feedback if you go wrong along the way. He wants you to succeed and will pop up throughout your adventure.
Mayor Dina Brave
Mayor Dina is in charge of all of Cyberly, which is where this adventure takes place. She is in charge of making important decisions, drinking tea, and going to meetings. She is in charge of what businesses are allowed to do, who can own a shop, and other important Mayoral duties.
Detective Smudge
Detective Smudge is a detective in the B.Y.T.E. Detective Agency. He is a lion meaning he is fiercely brave, and his role is very similar to your teachers role. He will teach you important information to do with the case, so it is very important you listen closely to what he says.
Sir Quacksworth
Sir Quacksworth is a helper duck, and throughout your adventure you may encounter him and he may give you tips. Think of him like your Teaching Assistant in class. He will help where he can, so it’s important you listen to his advice.
Fluffy
Fluffy is a friendly crocodile so don’t let her scare you! We don’t know who Fluffy works for, but we do know to be careful of her… so make sure you think before you make any decisions Fluffy throws at you.
Paranormal Investigations Team
This adventure may show you other teams, including the Paranormal Investigations Team. They are here to help, if your adventure needs them. They specialise in finding friendly ghosts!
Howard the Cyber Dog
Now, Howard is a very important member of the B.Y.T.E. Detective Agencies team. He is a German Shepard, which is a breed of dog, and he has a very good sense of smell. His sense of smell is so good in fact, that he can sniff out electric devices like your phones, and like USB sticks.
The Security Guard
You may come across a Security Guard on your adventure. He may seem big and serious, but he is in fact very friendly. He is there to check if you are allowed in to Mysterious Brews, and to hide any secrets may be hidden inside… Outside of being a security guard, favourite icecream is chocolate chip and at the weekends he likes to watch KPop Demon Hunters.

Villainous Ventures Incorporated (VVI)
VVI is an evil organisation that works in Cyberly. They are run by Professor Marmalade, who has bright red hair and comes up with all kinds of mischief. They are the villains of Cyberly
B.Y.T.E. Detective Agency
B.Y.T.E. are the heroes of Cyberly. Their aim is to stop VVI and uncover what secrets there are in Cyberly.
Vexing Vortex Industries
You may see this name pop up a few times. If you take the first letter of each word it seems to be very similar to another organisation in Cyberly…
Teatime Innovations Limited
You may see this name too! They sell all things tea related like kettles, tea bags, self stirring spoons…
Silent Solutions Security
This security company is known for doing huge security projects, like bank vaults, lava moats, and huge iron doors. There is also a member of VVI whose name is Silent Si – coincidence?
